Andamooka black opal is extremely scarce and when it pops up it always a pleasant surprise. This gemstone is as unique as it gets, a fascinating formation where black opal with beautiful color, pinks and reds, has formed within a milky opal seam . The result reminisces a crazy eyeball of opal with exceptional colour play in both the milky and black opal...extremely mesmerising.
Extremely difficult to photograph the transitions but very unique to the eye.
Originally mined from the outback opal town of Andamooka, South Australia.
